Finally got a new crested- some questions

meretseger Feb 29, 2004 11:39 AM

Well, after having an adult male for a while, we finally found a female we couldn't pass up. I just hope she really is a female. We just have a few questions though.

At what weight should we try to breed her?

What phase/morph would you call her?

30-35 grams is a good breeding weight and she looks like a fire but more so a harlequin. Anyway congrats she looks great!!!

We checked on her today and she's got this light blue cast over most of her body, we showed the photo to one guy and he said it looks like she's in shed, but we thought we'd see what other people think (so we can also show off the cool photo).

It can be a sign of shed, I would be more curious to see if this nice blue colouration lasts after a week. Keep us up to date if she retains this colour. Beautiful crested in either case.

Nice crestie! Yours in the first pic looks pretty much exactly like mine. and the second pic looks exactly like mine does when he goes into shed. so my guess would be he will be shedding soon.
