I looked in my snake's tank this morning, and I found a piece of shedded skin that was fairly small. I never saw him in the blue recently, so I thought maybe he just shedded without me knowing it. Well I looked all through the tank and could not find the rest of the skin, so maybe he didn't shed. The time before this though he shed in one piece, nothing missing. So what is this from? Did he shed, and where did the rest of the skin go? I looked at him closely and there were no signs of him about to shed or anything.

mabye a piece broke off last time he shed and got buried in the substrate until now when he dug it out?
