Was nice knowing you all....

Well there comes a time when everyone must move on. That time for me is now. Seems I can't post anything on this forum anymore without being harassed, so I'm not going to post here anymore. You all know where to find me. In a place where we talk about snakes and not about egos and contradicting ways of thought.

P.S. Aunteye...it's all yours buddy!

That is certainly unfortunate. I would hope that you would not leave because some internet warrior harrasses you on almost every single post. Stay just to prove them wrong. I enjoy your feedback and posts and would hate to see someone with your knowledge and experience no longer at my disposal. Would I ask aunteyes advice on breeding Carpets? I THINK NOT!

I really don't know what started your angst agains him but he is gone. Could you find it in your heart to PLEASE leave him alone. AKA-Put the ax down and step away!

This is a forum were we discuss carpet pythons. NOT personal issues with others. EVERYONE here is entitles to their opions AND their pride. This is suppose to be a friendly place and I'm starting to wonder if we all need to take a breather. A lot of people need try not to take things so personally.

If you and others want to go for 'natural beauty' carpets. No one is stopping you and few will judge you despite what you might think. I think the heart of the discussions about breeding 'pure' & 'quality' snakes is to have a plan. Not breeding just because you can, but because you have a goal in mind. What ever that goal is...the world of Carpets is big enough to encompass it.

No one is telling you what to do other than to leave your baggage at the door. Now please can we get back to the main subject of this forum!

I personally think jkuroski is being a big pompous sissy. Would you like a cross you bloody mayrter? Give me a break. This post is NOT regarding to anything below. It is strictly about you leaving. I think it is a big mistake. I am not begging for you to come back. And the fact that your even reading this contradicts your declaration. What I'm tryin to say is, take your licks. I highly doubt this whole feeling of tension is going to last any longer than a week. Personally, when I disagree with you guys, its in a completely calm manner. It might not look like it typed out, but I get the feeling we are all adults here, who dont get offended that easily. But if anything I said or aunteye for that matter offends you, just ignore it, right? I certaintly am not mad at anyone at all. Just because we all disagree it makes things a little more hot I guess. Well, no one harrased you. And it was very hard to tell if you were being arrogant, or really wondering what her snakes looked like.

Too many people breeding their snakes just because they can--that's the real problem IMHO.

Exactly what I think. The same can be said for dogs, cats, or anything else. Not a whole lot of people breeding them for a reason, but there sure is allot of them breeding them simply to make a buck.

If you enjoy your animals, then they are of "quality". It seems like everyone is telling others what is right and wrong, and what they should do. I like my two carpets, and think they are beautiful. I would like to breed them one day to see what the offspring look like. Hopefully it will be a small clutch, and I can keep a few. So to me, my IJs are "quality". "Pure" is such an overused word, what really is pure today? Probably nothing! With so many stimuli present in the world today, genetic mutations abound, thus things are constantly changing (the evolution perspective, possibly faster than ever). So let others possess what interests them, and don't judge that person on what they enjoy.

That was an awesome post. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people like something, some people like another thing. Why fret about it?

aunteye Jun 10, 2003 05:24 PM

Well said. I'll step away. Obviously any opinion that opposes others here will always be considered harrassment therefore making any opinion I have a futile attempt to participate. So be it.

Mayo Jun 11, 2003 07:55 AM

Aunteye, I think you are getting so much opposition, well other than the personal attacks, because your responses are so robotic. When people (I am stereotyping) use strings of grammar as you have, it comes off as arrogant attacks, viewed as looking for an argument. If this is not your intention then maybe reread your post before you post them and see how others might perceive it. And let's get back to carpet pythons. Aunt, if you don't mind, post some pictures of your carpets, and information about them. Give us some stories of what makes each one special to you. I think that is what "we" like to see here.

I can't tell if you have an ulterior motive for this post or not. Why would you risk reigniting a thread that was clearly dying (if not dead already) if you are truely sincere about your post. Practice what you preach. Let it be!

Mayo Jun 11, 2003 08:58 AM

I don't check this place out but twice a week or so. I guess I should have read more before I posted. SOrry.

aunteye Jun 11, 2003 12:06 PM

No harm done.

Jeff Favelle Jun 11, 2003 09:53 PM

But yes, it would be great to see pics of EVERYONE'S carpets, not just aunteye's.

aunteye Jun 12, 2003 05:39 AM

If your going to attempt to correct someone's spelling, make sure you know what you're talking about. It's "ulterior" braincell. Look it up!!!

Puh-lease. Stop being so melodramatic. I never asked you to respond to my post. Once again it's all about you. Tell ya' what! I'll go. Now you can wipe the tears from your eyes. So long.

clifford Jun 11, 2003 07:30 PM

I know I shouldn't add fuel to the fire, but as it turns out I'm most comfortable with my foot in my mouth, so here goes. It's not a flame, or attack, and contains no drama.

Possibly I'm wrong, or crazy, but isn't this the third time that you've posted here that you're never going to post here anymore? If people on the forum bug you, just don't check in for a while...then when it sparks your interest again, come back and see if you find anything good. There's not really a need to try to make a big production every time you find something here you don't like.

Above all, enjoy yourself. Kick back, enjoy your collection, build some new cages, or give your scaley friends some extra out-of-cage time. If you're in your local herp society, volunteer more...remember how excited you were when you started out with the hobby, and watch that same spark in the eyes of the public when you teach them about your critters. After all, if you're not having fun, why do this at all?

And in the end, I think you'll be back. Keep in mind...most of us are the same breed...and we're drawm to our own. Most of us will still be here too.

LOL! Your two posts are like night and day. Poor little smiley face. So unappreciated.

One less Drama Queen certainly won't hurt the forum.

You are totally embarrassing yourself. Get your facts straight!

but you are most definitely dumber. Maybe aka "Aunteye" is really Usama Bin Laden, or the Boogie Man.
