National Herp Society

I tried to get the site coordinator of kingsnake to forward a message to it's entire list of local herp societies around the country, but I don't think anything was done. So I propose that everyone who feels as I do, go to that list and begin sending messages to those organizations, asking them to come to this forum to share ideas. I will be doing this, and perhaps I talk the loudest, so let's see you do more! Also why can't we start one right now!? And I am not very computer savy, but the first thing we need is a website, so If there is anyone out there who is willing and able to step up to that plate,...swing away! C'mon let's go! I realize that kingsnake dose'nt want us using this forum for political porposes, but we can use it as a diving board for as long as we can get away with it. So Go to the list of Herp Societies here at kingsnake.com and start sendin the message to get together. It's time to rally the troops, lock and load, stand in the door,...GO!

The AFH (American federation of herptoculturists) used to be around but I don't think they exist anymore...they used to have a packet of info specifically to combat legislation.

THere is the IHS...and Parc (www.parcplace.org)
BUt these orgnaizations are aimed more at professionals and they may or may not want to get involved in legislation issues.

I'm going to probe into this and see what the views of this are within these organizations.
