Lay masking tape, sticky side up, near the wall. The snake will stick and make a lot of noise, allowing you to find him.
Take a two liter bottle, wrap it in black tape so that it's dark inside, and drop a rat pup inside. Leave it there overnight. The snake should crawl in to eat the food and stay there...if he finds it.
She is about 4'6" long. Please help me

Ok, I completely understand that you are worried. Here is the good news. She can remain missing for 3 months and not die from starvation. I live in an apt and had one of mine dissapear for that length of time and found her live and fat. She had found I still don't know what to eat but eat she did. Where I finally found her was under the cabinet shelf under the kitchen sink. Here is the bad news. Any crack big enough for her to get her head threw she can go threw even if her body is huge in comparison to her head. I to the dish washer, the refrigerator, and the oven out to look for her and found parts of her shedding in all of those places. She will seek out heat sources which helps to narrow down some of the places to search, sadly she can get burned by those same heat sources. My suggestion: do what I did. Take one room a part and I mean completely a part and then seal that room off, and start the next room. Before moving anything look under it you do move it you don't want to squash her. Good Luck
Follow the wall, pull out all the dresser drawers, look behind furniture, etc. Also, don't forget to look UP. They can climb and we forget that sometimes. Go through each room then close the door before going to the next one.
Personally, I would try the 2 liter soda bottle trick FIRST...If you cut a slit in the plastic and put a bigger prey item in than what can fit through the neck of the bottle, she'll have to go in to eat it and then she wont be able to get out again. Cut the bottle neck so it's just big enough for her to climb through if she's too big to get through it as it is. Then, once you find her in there, just cut the bottle to get her out.
I have a 5ft long, monster Black ratsnake female that went AWOL over a month ago. Tore the herp room apart. This is a 98% sealed room. Gotta figure she found the 2% leak and is out in the cellar itself, in the ceiling or walls. UGH.
I have an everglades ratsnake male that has gone AWOL for over 2 months before. And, as was noted, came back mysteriously fatter. What are those cats good for?!?
The only BIG snake I had get out that I found right away was a BP....5ft 5# male that busted out his lid and proceeded to crash over the top of my entertainment center.
BTW to the OP. I have NEVER found a snake when looking for them. I did flour the hardwood floor to get an idea if the critter was still in the vicinity. But any of my AWOLs have just showed up again......nearly every one within 5 ft of their cage.
AND LOOK UP! They climb way more than you think.

It used to surprise me to see so many posts from people who lost this or that. I didn't have a very forgiving attitude about it at first but I'm much more understanding now. I had thought that they weren't responsible as they should have been with their snake's housing. And then, it happened to me! After having owned snakes for 20 years, and never losing any, I did! LOL!
Last fall, I lost my pair of Jungles (king x corn) and I still have yet to figure out how they escaped. I think it might have been the lid that was given to me. It had a little yellow door in the top and I guess, if the snake pressed hard enough, it's possible to ooze in between the door and the lid. Consequently, I do NOT use that lid any more!! The odd thing was, there were 3 snakes in that tank and my pair disappeared while the other cornsnake stayed. At first, I thought someone stole them or the other snake ate them because nothing made sense.
Then, 2 months later, I found the female jungle in a drawer near where the tank was. (Yup, within 5 feet! LOL!) It was so funny because she had climbed into the tape dispenser and crammed herself into the teeny space. I still haven't found the male. It's been 6 or 8 months since I lost them both and I've just about given up hope of ever finding him...and he was the reason I bought the pair! He was so incredible looking.
I am thinking that except for the male BP that rammed the lid off to get back in with his girl that my ratsnakes are the ones with the most determined attitude for escape.
The black female loose now got out of a cage that she has been in for over a year without getting out. Same latches, same weight...and yes, it was all set the day she got out. Stubborn, strong monster.
And I think my cat's are in cahoots....they are bringing mice in from the garage and letting them loose in the house....obviously trying to feed the snake. (and irritate the heck out of me in the middle of the night with the sqeaking and thumping!)

It's almost as if they WANT the snakes to escape. Maybe they need more toys! LOL!
In my house, it's my Gray Banded Kings that are the Houdinis. I kept catching them trying to press their way out of any crevice they could find where the metal lid has folds that meet. I have literally weighed that sucker down! LOL! There is a 5 pound weight (from a weight set) on one side and a cast iron skillet on the other.
Sonya...I'm really enjoying this...enjoying you. Thank you.
My younger brother had my ten foot burm out and when he put it back he didnt lock the cage.I lost a ten foot burm for over a week.I tore my entire house apart and couldnt find it.My buddies came over and helped me tear my house apart looking for it.I was dead asleep one night and heard dishes shattering in my kitchen.By god i found him and he was none to happy about it either. It was a valuable lesson learned.I was scared the whole time he was loose. That was around 10-12 years ago and i havent had an escape since.
I know if he ever got out, I'd have to rush him in for emergency surgery after eating the cats!! You see, I'm afraid their collars and tags would get stuck in there somewhere! LOL! So I have 3 of those utility tie-down straps on his cage...just to be sure that there's no way he can push his way out.
