Leo is asleep from 8am when I get up to 11pm or 12am when I go to bed. I was running daylight lamp from 8am to 10pm and feeding him at 7pm. Now I turn light on at 8am and off at 8pm thinking that would be better. Will he ever just come out and roam or is this not normal? He will not come out until,... I dont know when, really.. Goes to bathroom in middle of night and chomps a lil food bout it?

That's normal, there nocturnal hunters. He'll come out to eat and then go back to sleep until 9 or 10 pm.

So if I figure this right hes sleeping at least 14 to 18 hours a day that I know of?
Yep sounds about right there very lazy animals. Mine don't even start to get active until 1 or 2 am and then they start sleeping again at 7 or 8.

wow your guys geckos are very lazy, mine sleeps 10-12 hours a day and is just roaming or laying on her log or humidity box, a matter of fact i just took this 10 minutes before i read this post:
