Okay, this question is directed towards anyone with any breeding experience. I have my colombian male and blue female together in the same enclosure. The measurements on the enclosure are 6.5'L x 3.5'W x 4.5'H. I've got two different platforms in there that they both like to climb up on. Now here's my question with a little bit of background.

Blake (colombian) has been biting Trinity's (blue) tail. Now, every time he grabs onto her tail it is followed by him trying to mount her. A friend of mine suggested that it might be aggression, but every time that I've seen him do it, it's to stop her from running away so that he can get on top of her.

They've been together in this enclosure for about a month now. The whole tail biting thing didn't start until about a week after they had been together. Prior to them moving in together, I had let them roam the apartment at the same time, for about a month. Everything was hunky dory during that time. They'd lie down next to each other and got along very well.

My question is, is this tail biting thing something that just occurs during breeding season, or is this something where he's just going to be horny all the time and continue doing this to her? I've been unsucessful in finding when the colombian breeding season is. So I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if this is going to pass?

Thanks!
Lindsay
