Pebbles just continues to eat a ton......so I have a question cuz I don't know anything. If she turns orange whatever cuz she is gravid....does that mean she is pregnant or that she is "eligible" to become pregnant? Bam Bam still isn't head bobbing thankfully....hehehe my mom started asking me questions tonight....now everyone knows where I get it from!!

They get the orange, when they are ovulating, meaning then, the male will try and mate.

With females if they do not mate, they can still lay eggs, but they will be unfertile, without breeding.

Just be patient, see if she gets her orange, and then see if Bam Bam head bobs, and does his thing! LOL

By the way Becca, are set up for incubating, if it all does occur?

Or are you going to SIT ON THEM LIKE A MOTHER HEN?

I'm not set up for incubation. I'm really hoping they don't mate. Can I do it in their old 10 gallon cage? That's the only other thing I really have. We're gonna have all kinds of fun if she goes gravid/gets pregnant.

tank????????? Incubate??? If thats what you mean, you either need an incubator (have hovabators on ebay)

OR if you are in a warm area, (I know you are) go to Will Wells site and read about incubation, with a shoebox type container. But your temps have to be warm ! (GO READ)

Ya have a male and female and they have slept.
So ya have to be prepared INCASE !

If you dont want to worry about it, I suggest you seperate them NOW !
