Alright, about 2 weeks ago my taiwans were breeding. I am going to seperate the male now because he was successful and she is getting larger. I can actually feel the eggs.
I was sent a great article on breeding ratsnakes(thanks Brienne)... but I have some more questions...
When she goes into her pre-egg laying shed I am going to give her a moist hide box.
Sould I use; soil, vermiculite, or moss?
Then when she lays, should I seperate the eggs? Or leave them in the egg mass? I hear with colubrids, it is best to keep them together.
I am pretty sure I cannot turn the eggs over, is that right?
And what temperature works best for all of you?
And last, is a hovabater a good incubator?(I would build one, but I am paranoid I will mess it up somehow)
Sorry for all the novice questions, all your experiences would be greatly appreciated.
