Some ?'s about NOAH show.......

Spardawolf Mar 01, 2004 07:54 AM

We are thinking of making a trip to the NOAH show on March 14. I was just wondering if any of you go, and if the show is a decent size. Is there a nice selection of snakes to purchase? (Basically I would be looking for corns and rats) Our local show doesn't offer much in the way of them, and we are trying to find a show that is reasonably close that would have more of a selection. If I make the trip I would like to be able to find some of what I am looking for. Thanks alot and have a good day!!!!!

I've never been to any other show, so I can't compare it to anything, but I think it's okay. There are about 40 vendors (about 1/2 selling husbandry items).

In January there weren't many corns or rats there, so I'm guessing that there won't be many at the March show either since no babies will be hatching yet. Maybe 3-4 vendors had them, but the corns were mostly normals, albinos, stripes, creamsicles and het creamsicles. I did see one adult albino bloodred for sale though, cheap too, I would have bought it if it wasn't a male. As far as ratsnakes, there were blacks, texas, everglades, and deckerts.

Send me an email if you want to know more. I've volunteered at the shows since 2002.

and it's nice, but I like the Pittsburgh(actually Monroeville, but it's listed as Pitt), PA show better. Like Amanda said, probably half of the vendors there sell husbandry products. Depending on where you're located, you might want to check out Monroeville. There are more than a few people there who sell corn snakes and rat snakes.

and I have been to Monroeville many times. As far as corns and ratsnakes there are a few. I have purchased some from couple of people, but they don't have a very big selection of them. I am looking more for the higher end morphs like lav, opal, bloodred etc... I think that I may hit the NOAH show, and the Lititz show in March.
Thanks for the answers.

If you're only looking for high-end corns, don't come to the NOAH show. That adult male amel bloodred may still be there, but as far as other high-end morphs, forget it.

a breeder with butters, and lavendars. They had quite a few different kinds, but the butters and lavanders are the only ones I'm positive about. They aren't regulars, though, so I dont know if they'll be there next month.
Either way, more people have corns at Monroeville than the one NOAH show I went to. Wherever you go, talk to people, and see if any of them can get ahold of what you want.

I was at the last 2 shows, in fact I purchased some Texas Rats at both of them. I didn't see any lavs at all and I don't think I have ever seen anything at those shows except okee, normals, creams, snows, anerys, amels, and maybe some ghosts. I think once I saw a sunglow. There was a breeder there with alot of corns, he had alot of stripes, but the colors were just the norm. As far as this area, if you are looking for any higher end morphs you usually have to go a distance or order from Don, Kathy or someone else.
