Here's a New Jersey Northern Pine. I've posted this previously last year. I had the locale data on it, but I haven't been able to find it. I had the crossroads and everything. Oh well, this Northern was left in the wild per New Jersey's regulations. Note the reddish spots towards the tail section. I've seen these on several Northern Pines of New Jersey locale. There can be red or reddish spots mixed in with the red overtones especially near the tail. I actually love the reds and spots.

Great looking snake Terry, I would love to find some pits in the wild. But no such luck here in PA. The best large snakes to find here are Black Rats. Non-venomous at least, lol. I hope to get some photos of nice black rats and eastern milks this year. Thanks for the pic, post more if you get the chance.
