I awoke the sleeping dragon....

Remember Lizzy? The poor unfortunate dragon we rescued from a school in Washington. He was so skinny, malnourished, and in desperate need of a deworming. He's doing very well! He just finished brumating and I just wanted to post a few recent pictures of him.

Here's Lizzy sleeping under his cage carpeting...

He's awake! And he's ready to breed! Wait a minute ... we don't breed at Beautiful Dragons. Sorry Lizzy.

Take care!
Veronica

My problem is letting them go, I know I can not keep all the ones we take in as rescues, but after they are back on track, its hard to let them go, but I know its better they have a private home and attention.

I worry so about people breeding them when they have recovered and could be set back so easily.. we always request they not be breed, but have no control over ones that do later on

We have kept one as I know it would be too tempting for others to breed her, she is beautiful, a white and some light gold at times, but only weighed 34 grams at 1 year when she came to us, she is 300 grams now, months later, but breeding would probably kill her after the rough start she had and I am so afraid others would not consider that.... only see the potential for white babies from her.
