San Diego and Vegas for spring break

bhmorrill Mar 01, 2004 06:11 PM

I will be heading to San Diego and Las Vegas for spring break next week (Mar 7-11) and would love to see as many pythons and boas as possible. So I was wondering if any of you have any input as to places I could go, or people I could see in order to see some good snakes. I am also interested in buying a nice looking female jungle carpet python, or a male amazon tree boa. Any information any of you can give me would be great, if not over the forum then atleast shoot me an email. I am going to these places because I am thinking of living in either one or the other as I do my graduate research, so I would love to meet some of you since I could potentially be living by you soon. Plus, it is always nice to know that I am not the only snake dork around!

Thanks,
Ben

I don't know much about Vegas but I know SD pretty well. Don't know where your from but SD has some of the best pet shops in the country. Oceanside, which is San Diego county and about one hour north of the city, as LLL Reptile and Reptile Haven. They are both great for animals. There is one secret place that I bought almost everything from. Pet Kingdom is the place, its in the city on Sports Arena Blvd, its the ultimate. They have great animals, nice selection and the guys are not just there to hang out but are actual herpers too.

Thanks for the info. Someone else mentioned to me the Pet Kingdom store, sounds like I will have to check it out for sure. Would they have carpet pythons or ATB's?

Thanks again,
Ben
