just a question that i dont need to worry about for a couple more years but hypotheticaly (sp) speaking. my normal corn mabe me het for something but i dont know his back ground because i got him at a pet shop (he was fine well fed no problems)
What would i breed him/her to to see if he was het for anything.

everything...........

snow to see if amel or anery.....

ghost to check hypo and anery....make it anery B......use a charcoal ghost..(is that correct? been awhile since I thought of that one)....

butter to check for amel and caramel.....

then there's lavender to check for......motley too........and striped.....

easier to get him a nice normal girl.......?.......LOL

If you REALLY want to know if your snake is het for some trait, you might start by asking the petstore folks if they have any background or could put you in touch with the breeder.
That said...The only way you'll find out if it's het for anything by breeding, is if you happen to breed it with a snake that has that trait (or is het for it). So...It's just a guessing game, really.
I suggest that if you are buying more corns, you simply choose ones that you like. If you are planning on breeding in the future and want to know that you will get certain traits...purchase animals accordingly. Otherwise...just be surprised. One of the fun things about corns is that with so many snakes having such varied backgrounds...you never know what will pop out. Have fun. :D

Breed with a corn that is homozygous for multiple morphs. A striped snow corn would be a good choice.
