I was just wondering how long in general it took for a new leo to calm down and not bite. I just purhcased my first leo a couple of days ago and everytime i go to handle or touch it it hisses and tries to bite. Are all babies like this???

Hi
That is nothing new for a little one to do. Just leave him/her alone for about a week or two and just let it get used to it's new surronding.
When ever you have to do things in it's tank, talk to it and let it get used to your voice, the whole time your messing in the tank. Also, when you aren't messing around in the tank, just go up to it and talk to her/him for awhile.
At that age, you can't even really feel the bite and you will think to yourself, "why did I jump", it didn't even hurt.
Take Care,TLB
Is it a little girl or a little boy? Sometimes girls incubated at high temperatures are aggressive.
