Nah, never went to the doctor. Since it's mostly healed with only a little bit of residual achiness, and then only when I use it to write with a pencil, doesn't seem worth the effort. I hate the way new medical plans do things.... First you pay to see the doctor, the doctor says "Blood workup and ex-rays" so then you go, drive fifteen miles, and wait in line to get the blood workup, PAY for the blood workup, then you drive another fifteen miles, wait in line for the ex-rays, PAY for the ex-rays, then you go HOME. Then they call you in several days or send you a post card saying "Make an appointment to discuss the results of your test"... so you make an appointment, take another day off work, drive another 20 miles to the doctor, pay AGAIN, only to have the doctor say "Your cholesterol is really high and you are way too fat, but hey, your test results are otherwise just fine!" So you've paid $60, taken two days off work, been pricked and irradiated, and then insulted and scolded, and you have learned nothing and acheived nothing more than staying at home and applying contrast therapy, taking anti-inflammatories, and keeping it elevated. I HATE going to the doctor. The above situation wasn't for this mouse bite, it was when I was afraid I had cancer. For the doctor to call me in like that, make me take another day off, only to SCOLD ME and not for any important thing like "Oh yeah, you have cancer". Oooh, is it any wonder I don't like to go in?
Anyway, the mice and critters do get their chompers in me from time to time. My mice are mostly quite docile and very large bodied. They only bite if I grab them by the tail. The worst bites are from rats. I have one rat who is the SUPER MOMMA rat, loves to bite, and will steal every baby rat in sight. I keep planning on sending her to the petstore, but she keeps being such an excellent momma rat, that I end up keeping her. All her daughters and sons are super friendly, so I tolerate it.
