Watched "Fear Factor" tonight....

And one of the evens included putting two girls into a large enclosure with Boas, Pythons, Tokays, Golden Geckos, House Geckos, and Cat Eye Geckos. How is this not Cruelty? It causes unneeded stress on the animals. The big boas or pythons could have eaten a few of the other geckos.

that's FOX for you
and why is that torture, i think ppl would be like sweet can i have this one and that one?

Raydeohed Mar 01, 2004 08:25 PM

I felt the same way ByRandom. Having all those geckos and etc. in there, first of all, how did they get in there, making sure they didn't step or sit on any of the reptiles? I'm sure they some sort of expert to help out, though I do think it was wrong for them to put all of the reptiles together. Second, I believe Fear Factor is on NBC, not FOX. And I hope people don't see the reptiles, and think, "Aww, they're cute" and get one based on looks, without doing the proper research for the needs the reptile needs. But that's a whole other thread in the making. Anyways, hope those reptiles are all safe. Just my two cents.

they tend to do that lots on the show, I think that we should all complain to the network and perhaps something (very doubtfull) will be done.

MattP Mar 01, 2004 10:34 PM

I would have loved to be in that container, I'm watching it and it doesn't look like the reptiles are being hurt. They might be scared of those girls though.

MattP Mar 01, 2004 10:38 PM

Actually it is cruel. The host just said "smack them aside", and many geckos fell to the floor. This show is horrible

IT IS DEFINITE ANIMAL CRUELTY

im sure those animals are well taken care of and none of them were hurt.

That was the easiest " obstacle " they've ever done. Those were some poorly cared for specimens, probably from some wholesaler. And how about the mouthrot on that one boa the kept showing head-on. Pretty lame.

You can send an e-mail complaining about the animal abuse to:
FearFactor@nbc.com
I went to the Fear Factor website after seeing that awful show and after some clicking found the contact information so it is legit. Please, I urge everyone to please send an e-mail complaining about this, only if many people complain will anything be done.
