Why can't I get my zoo med thermastat to keep a steady temp, it drops down as if it does not work then I have to crank it up and then it gets way to hot, and then I turn it down a little bit and then it again cranks down all the way. Is it suppose to do this, I thought thermastats hold a steady temp?

Am I crazy but does it get to the temp and then stop and cool off and then if it drops go up again. I thought it would hold the temp the same?
