blue headed tree agamas- some advice please

scales Mar 01, 2004 09:58 PM

Ok, so i broke my first rule of reptile ownership, and bought a herp without knowing a whole lot about them. I was told to treat them like a more carnivorous version of a bearded dragon. I have a breeding pair coming, the female is gravid. I broke my second rule as well- they are wild caught. I did some research on the company they are coming from, first class reptiles, and they impressed me with the amount of care they adminster to their animals. My impulsive nature overpowered me somewhat, i suppose. If anyone out there knows anything about these guys, please let me know. I am no novice herpetoculturist, I have worked for the past 4 years as an intern for a herpetological research/ education company... So i do know quite a lot about herps in general, but any advice from some one whos dealt with this species would be TREMENDOUS!! Thanks,
Kim

If I end up with a nice healthy clutch of babies, i'll keep them awhile, feed 'em up and get 'em started, then i might sell them to friends. I'm not sure....
