Proud new owner of a pair of cat geckos!

59herps Mar 01, 2004 10:17 PM

Hey all,
I don't post here much mostly due to the fact that I stopped keeping geckos several years ago, but I have always wanted a pair and when I saw them on the ads I couldn't resist. I've been collecting info on them over the years and here i am. They are arriving on wednesday, their new tank is 20 gallon with the design being based of DeVosji's (am I spelling his name right> tub design, it is in the mid 70's with two large ficus trees, a layer of ranforest mix ala reptile magazine directions, a layerof green moss a medium bowl in the center of the tank with cork tubes strewn acrosas thae bottom of the tank and held in place with small peices of rock along with two xtra large peices of branching grapevine thats sandblasted, there are also two creeping ficus's and a bird nesting box thats very dark and filled with soft and slightly damp moss. Any Imput? I should have pics thursday.
Devlin
P.S. I know they are expert lizards and theyre hard to care for, I have good experience with exotic lizards

Geez, if you're keeping Draco I don't think I have much advice to give you! You probably already are better at keeping cat geckos than me. (I had a pair for a few years until my male died). Keep the humidity up and watch for them to be active between 4 and 6 am, I guess.
