Found these in the Apalachicola National Forest in N. Florida yesterday. All were found by gently peeling back bark (instead of stripping the bark completely off) or under bark on the ground.

I've seen several adults in that region that kept the white bands. It doesn't seem to be very common but it does happen in some individuals.
