Sterile Female Questions

Snarks Mar 01, 2004 11:07 PM

Hi all,
I've had my girl Yucky for 4 years now, and I think she might be trying to lay sterile eggs. Will she just lay them or not until she finds a suitable place. I don't have vecimulate(sp sorry) right now. But she's digging around alot, fat around the belly, not eating as much and just plain grumpy...
Thanks in advance I'm just worried about her

I think I am having the same thing happen with my leopard gecko. I posted a few threads down, what does her belly look like? and how little food is she eating? Mines gone without food for almost a month. She also has small bumps (I think).

hi thanks for replying i read your post too. I'm sorry that yours isn't eating. Mine is just behaving odd, she's on the prowl again.
I read somewhere that the liquid food can be like baby food, and just assorted mess of fruits and stuff. I'd be afraid for force feed too. And i wouldn't remove hides either, that's just odd. You can always dab the food on their nose and they will lick it off. She'll get grumpy about it but she'll be eating it.
good luck with yours, don't worry too much. Leopards are hardy buggers

Thanks for your info and encouragement. She also has dark patches where the bumps are. This might just be a reaction to where the vet gave her shots, if so hopefully they go away. I hope everything goes well with your leo.

Hi

Since you don't have vermiculite right now, just put a papertowel in her humid hide and keep it moist, not soaking wet and that should help her have a moist place to lay them.

Take Care, TLB

Thanks!
i have that in there right now, she's trying to dig it around. So hopefully that means she'll do something.
