odd behavior when misting cage...anyone else seen this?

divinitry Jun 10, 2003 12:13 PM

lately i've been misting my cage every few days just to ensure that there is a decent level of humidity for my geckos and i've noticed that when i mist the cage, most of the geckos will run and hide in a cave or something but my male seems to LOVE it, like he's getting a shower or something lol. he just walks out into the middle of the cage, closes his eyes and seems to soak it up. is this odd or have other people experienced this?

mine love it also. Actually, 3 of them come out and try to lick the misting bottle as i'm spraying their cage.

Mine like it too. Some of my younger ones lick the "rain" off the sides of the aquarium.

my leopard runs and hides too....I guess I never really thought of it being odd until now.

One of mine likes it too.. .she closes her eyes, and kind of 'perks up'... she pushes up with her front legs and arches her neck so she's facing upwards towards the mist, and seems to enjoy it.. licking her chops as I'm misting
