BTW, is that the back of an basilisk you see there an the photo? It may be a juvenile but I can assure you your anole doesen't will be happy with him arround. Even that he still don't may be a threat about size, your anole will be under chronical stres, which is the most terrible thing to your animal (stres is a consequence of illnes [make this the causs which should be taken away inmediantly]). I think you may need to split them and give each there own specialized habitat (since both live under different circumstances).

WOW good eyes I did not see the Basilisk on the first look. It does look like one though. I would then agree that unless we are talking about a big tank and the baslisk if female I would seperate them.
P.S. I am not good at sexing brown anoles, but it does look like a male.

Looks more like the back of Physignathus cocincinus. I agree with Yann, however, definitely a male.
