Help!: possibly sick?

I recently got 2 hatchling leo's, a m and a f. They are both probably a month and a half (or so) old. The female is lively, an excelent hunter, and very active. The male however, i noticed is always kind of squinting. He isn't wide eyed like the female. I also noticed his lips looked wet, i doubt that means anything though. He is still pretty active though, he is out walking around right now. He is a much worse hunter than she is, and has been thinner than her ever since i got them. I do think he is starting to fatten up some though. I am a little concerned, but i guess the only real cause for alarm is his eyes just don't look very alert. could this mean anything?

sometimes bad incubation conditions can cause deformations to the eyelids

i don't think its that his eyelids are deformed. You know when you are really tired and yuo have trouble keeping your eyes open? It seems like he is doing something like that. My girlfriend and roommate notice the difference aswell, otherwise i'd just assume i was imagining it. I am a pretty overprotective parent of all my pets afterall.

i just heard, that apparently he had one eye closed for the whole day 2 days ago when i was at work.

He looked like he was going to shed 3 days ago, his skin was all milky coloured. I gave him a moist paper towel to moisten himself up on and then left for work. When i got back, he looked normal again. I cleaned the habitat yesterday though, and i didn't find any skin. Could this shedding have something to do with the eye thing?

How long have you had him? Sometimes geckos who are kept on sandy substrates get it in their eyes and it causes irritation and sometimes infection. One thing you could do is get a little syringe and flush the area with saline/contact solution. It won't hurt him (not unless you poke him in the eye), and it might help.

What color phase are they? Albino geckos will all squint in the light.
