Basic boa info

woodensoul Mar 02, 2004 11:00 AM

I've had this Boa for a few years now. It was given to me by someone who was forced to get rid of it in a hurry. I don't know much about the different morphs of Boas. I assume what I have is just a common boa. It is between 5 and 6 feet long, about 10 pounds. The sex is unknown.

What can I expect for a full grown size and weight? I know basic husbandry as I have four other snakes. I'm just looking for any additional information about these animals.

Thanks.

Sounds like a male to me if it is several years old at least and is only 5-6' and 10 lbs. Check the spurs and see how big they are and that will give you an indication of sex too. This site as some good care and info sheets available too. See the directory above. Hope this helps some. Pretty boa btw. susan
