Hello I was told by someone that they think they heard of some people raising them with commerical food instead on bugs. Have any of you heard of this.

Cricket free babies!

I have 2 beardies that have never known a cricket and they are wonderful. I have no problems with them. They get their greens and rep-cal pellets though I do give them silkworms. But I know if I wouldn't have the silkworms they would be just fine since the rep-cal pellets have protien in them. As soon as I feed their salad and pellets they run to eat. I never give silkworms unless I have seen them eat some of their salad and pellets first so that they don't get spoiled

Since I got one of mine about 6 months or so ago he's had about 50 crickets (note that the a cricket rasied dragon probably would have gone though at least 5000 by now). It's wonderful not having 1000's of crickets around the house. As many will they will grow slower, but tend to catch up at about the year mark. I've been feeding greens and rep-cal pellets. On the other hand, my other dragon won't touch her salad it there's any pellets in it, but she will eat the ecto-therm.
