Does any know what toad tadpoles eat?

Does anybody knows what I should feed toad tadpoles? And what is the specific requirement? I want to maybe fish out some from the cannal a raise several and keep them as pets. I would think that the tadpoles would be ok, along with some leafy green vegies.

Feed them just like you would frog tadpoles.Boiled lettuce/algea waffers/pond algea ect...newly morphed toadlets are very tiny so make sure to have a good supply of fruit flies for them. The adults are territorial and you should only keep one per tank.Oh yah,the toadlets are cannabilistic so watch out.

I agree with waldo suggestions, the toadlets can be excrutiatingly small. They are difficult to feed without fruit flies, termites and pin heads. I say go for it if you can do it, it minimizes your impact of the wild populations.

My tads also feasted on frozen bloodworms and sucked them down faster than anything else I fed them. You can also put some Anacharis in the tank as well, they will munch on them and they add to the quality of the water.
