what should I use for hide boxes?

mattoak Mar 02, 2004 06:51 PM

Can some of you guys tell me what you use for your adult Cali King hide boxes? Mine outgrew the ones I had been using, and I dont know what I can use. Im looking for something that would fit in an 8 inch tall tank and isnt expensive. Thanks.

I use empty tissue boxes. With the opening that is already made in each tissue box and the different size boxes that they come in, they are perfect. Since we go through tissue boxes anyway, they are easily replaced when the snake may defecate in it on occasion. Hope this helps.

thats what I am currently using, its just that my snake doesnt fit in them anymore. I am looking for something else I could use that is a little bit bigger.

I use large cereal boxes for mine, they love them and they fit inside their sweater boxes no problem, they can even lay on top of them if they want

I use upside down clay flower pots. They come in many sizes. You have to enlarge the bottom hole to fit your snake. They seem to like the security. Buddy.

I use the little bowls that go underneath flower pots. You can get them in many sizes. I just notch a entry hole out of one side.
