AMERICAN JUNGLES....more...

BCAGLEREPS Mar 02, 2004 11:11 PM

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THIS ONE MORE TIME FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS NOT COMPREHENDED IT SO FAR. THESE ARE NOT FROM THE SWEDISH BLOODLINE. THESE ANIMALS HAVE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLOR THAN THE SWEDISH JUNGLES. I NEVER SAID THEY WERE GENETIC FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN COLOR. THE COLOR HAS BEEN PROVEN GENETIC FOR THREE GENERATIONS. THERE WERE SEVERAL ABERRANT BABIES IN THE CLUTCHES AND ALL OF THE OFFSPRING VARIED A GREAT DEAL. I THINK MIKE OF MNR SUMMED IT UP BEST, WHEN HE SAID "ONE DAY WE WILL HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT BLOODLINES OF JUNGLES AND EVERYONE WILL CHOOSE WHICH ONES THEY LIKE BEST." THE PRICE WILL ALSO BE A LARGE FACTOR ALONG WITH COLOR, PATTERN, CLEANLINESS, TAIL COLOR, ETC. THE PIC BELOW IS THE MOTHER OF MY "AMERICAN JUNGLES." HER COLOR IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN SO FAR. WE ARE GOING TO PROVE OUT THE ABERRANT PATTERN NEXT, SO ONLY TIME WILL TELL. I WILL FOLLOW WITH A FEW PICS OF HER BABIES.

But I do see a problem with using the name of a pattern morph to describe/identify your color morph.

If it is a genetic color morph, and you can produce animals with the coloration the ones pictured show you have an animal that will sell extremely well (I would love to see those injected into hypos, or pastels, or albinos, etc etc)

I think the post Pro Exotics did above is extremely accurate in parody they use.

I hope you can come up with a better descriptive name for your very nice color morphs.. Also I would love to see pictures of your females parents, and your females litter mates. Showing the nice genetic coloration that you claim. (and I do not dispute it, just would like to see them)

I bought a highpink superclean baby boa male from "gulf coast reptiles" a couple years ago.
I could swear I was sent the picture you are showing, as showing off a "BROTHER" of mine from an earlier litter.
I remember that picture distincly.
