question on sex...(of new BP) jHa Ha

jaydaddy_26 Mar 03, 2004 06:02 AM

I have just rescuesd a Bp From someone who did not know how totake care of it and I was just wondering ifit wastrue what I heard about being able to look at the size of the spurs to tell if it is male or female.I already have max who I was told by the petstore was male(he has large spurs). The new one, name yet to be determined, has very small s[purs that are difficult to see.I will take pics of it shortly but it is about to shed.On an off topic note. I have moved into my new house(new to me), in New Hampshire... t is going well. We love it . Except for the fact that I just had to redo all the plumbing in the whole house. But now that that is done everything is kosher. The guy whom I bought the house from will be receiving a bill from me for parts and labor too.. turns out according to my layer that he was required to sell the house with working plumbing...especiallysince it was not specifically told to us that there was that problem. anyways ty for any help.

You have to get it sexed by either probing or popping it. I would suggest that you do not attempt this yourself as you can injure the animal. Contact local reptile stores to see if they have anyone qualified to perform the procedure and/or contact your reptile vet as they should be able to determine the sex of your animal. The local petshop will charge alot less than the vet.

Good luck!
