It does have that yellow color in the faded areas of the black.
Goodluck, i hope it proves out for ya.
What did ya breed her to?

A few have said she might be one or she might be something else. I guess the only way to know will be see what she produces and then go from there. This female came in Gravid from the wild so who knows what she bred to.

As an expert (sarcasm here!) who has seen TWO whole pictures of fireballs I'm struck that they are not only bright animals with reduced fading pattern but those two also are rather banded without connection of the bands as much as yours. Of course normal balls vary a lot in respect to banding and perhaps fireballs do also but on the other hand perhaps the disconnected banding is part of the mutation.

Here is a pet store male that I was offered $400 for last winter by someone who might well have known what a fireball looked like by then. After the offer I saw that he had patterned sheds (I bought him hoping he might be a ghost) and he eventually produced 6 perfectly normal babies so I'm not to worried that I already sold him for about what I bought him for, $80.

My point is that there might be a lot of fireballish looking animals out there that look close enough to even peak the interest of those familiar with them in taking them out of circulation but which probably aren't the real thing. Nice that now everyone can know a little about them.

What was her pre-lay body weight?

How old is she?

rkreptiles Mar 03, 2004 10:11 PM

Her Pre Lay weight was about 1800. I would have to look to ge the exact number but it was real close to 1800. I have no idea on her age as she is a Wild Caught female that came in Gravid.
