Rack Tubs

poetichusky Mar 03, 2004 12:44 PM

Hey fellow BP lovers,
I'm planning on building a rack for adult BP's. I'm going to be getting into breeding. I found tubs on the rubbermaid site that are 6.2 in H x 34 in W x 16.4 in D. What do you guys think? Big enough? It's rubbermaid tub 2159, if anyone is as interested as I am.
Thanks,
Cathy

It may end up being easier a cheaper just to go to Target or somewhere like that for tubs. I bought 20 sterilite tubs jsut after christmas for a total of $90. They are the 36x16x6 size. They were the christmas version of the wrapping paper storage tubs. Good luck, Chris

Sam's Club has a monster tub that is about 3 ft long and almost 2 ft wide (wider than the ones at Target) for about $7 each in groups of 3. I’m sure the 16 inch wide ones will also be fine for most any ball python but for some reason I like the look of the wide ones better. If you are not a member go to samsclub.com and click on the "Motel and Bed & Breakfast Event" link on the right of their home page and print out a pass good through March 9th.

Hey...those are really nice looking racks. Did you build those yourself? They are reminiscent of Freedom Breeders, accept the ones you have there are nice and compact and look like they are built from melamine and not steel. Really nice. Do you still have the plans for them? ) hehe
