Missing tail, no tail.......

HerpHelmz Mar 03, 2004 03:47 PM

Today I got 2 CB turtles from this year, a Western Painted Turtle and what looks to be a Cooter. Never-the-less, the Painted has half of it's tail missing, and the Cooter has no tail, just a stub, but they are both healthy, active and eating. What are the consquences of not having tails? This has really never happened to me before.

Assuming they are completely healed, with no infection, I should think they would be OK. So long as they are eating Ok.
Best of luck to you and your turtles,
