Stringy white stuff in poo...

veronicag Mar 03, 2004 04:39 PM

Does anyone know what stringy white stuff in poo means? It could be the urates, but its very stringy. Fecal exam came back negative, but that was before the stringy white stuff started. Don't worry my beardies are fine - this is something Houdini (uromastyx) is having. I just didn't get a response from the Uro forum and thought I'd try here. For those of you that don't know about my very ill uro, he's been on his death bed for the last few weeks. We thought it was a respiratory infection at first but an xray showed clear lungs. Mouth swab didn't reveal any unusual bacteria. Vet is stumped.

Thats strange just today when I came from school there was a string of white stuff in my dragons poop.I just gave him worms the day before....Did you happen to give him something he doesn't regularly eat between the time he last pooped and the day it had the stringy stuff in it?

could they tape worms perhaps? can you see them wriggle at all or are they stationary?

system can be causing an irritation in the lining of it. I know that mammals will often get this also, humans can get it when they have a cold or flu even
