I Need Pictures Please!!!

Heather Mar 03, 2004 07:13 PM

Ok, I need picture of baby and adult Club-Tail Igs and Cuban Rock Igs.

The reason is because at a petco near me, there was an ig that was definately NOT a Green iguana in with the baby Green igs. They called it a Club-Tail Ig but from the pics I've seen, it looked an awful lot like a cuban rock. So I'd like to bring the pics in and show them the difference if I'm right. So anyone who can provide pics for me, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

It wouldn't surprise me if the questionable iguana is a Ctenosaurus similis, one of the more common Spinytail Iguanas in the pet trade. But, here are pics of a Clubtail and some young Cubans.

Young Cubans.. They have a rounded tail like a green with rows of very small spiked scales. Also notice the scalation of the face.

Young Clubtail... these have a somewhat flattened tail from the base to about halfway down with prominant spikes.
