News Paper as Substrate

I know people use paper towels as a substrate, but would news paper work good? right now he/she is on sand i wanna move it off. Thanks

will this change effect my heat setup? for example will i need more heat since sand holds more heat than news paper (i assume)

I had read somewhere that you shouldn't use newspaper as the ink could rub off onto the animal and absorb through the skin. Now, don't quote me on that as I can't seem to come up with the source...

I think it would be best to check before using to make sure that it is indeed soy-based.

I think I will just use paper towels to be sure. I just figured news paper would be a good source since I get one every morning.
