jak's not eating but...

chikimonke Mar 03, 2004 09:02 PM

she's more active then she has ever been, and is even sleeping outside her hides now. Every night she waits on her rock for my hand to appear and imedeately (sp?) climbs onto it. she even did the leo dance for tge first time yesterday. however, she has eaten maybe 1 mealworm (mealies are staple) over the past five or six days. she has lost the small fat bulges under her front legs, but has not lost any more weight. sorry i don't have a scale for actual wieght, but her tail is nice and fat. like i said, this past week especially, she has been very active. was she getting a little self concious of her wieght? or is something wrong? also, the 2 poops she has had are small but normal. there are also no noticable discolorations on her belly...make that 3 poops this week, she just pooped on my desk and hand, little twerp =) again, it is normal looking just small. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance

Jak is beautiful. Is there any chance she's ovulating? Look on her belly for whitish pinkish masses. Sometimes ovulating females will stop eating temporarily. Some of my females are going through this now.

Sometimes females will lay "duds", but often times they will just absorb the folicles.

i see nothing other then a small blue spot i assume is her liver. would an ovulating female also have increased activity?
