Ants in the cage!............

justin m Mar 03, 2004 09:33 PM

I just noticed today that I had some ants on the leaves of the vine in my cage. They are smaller then any ants I have seen before and I barely even noticed them. What should I do? Will this be a problem and is there a way to get rid of them without removing the plant...the plant that they are in is the main plant in the cage and I would have to take apart the whole cage to get it out. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Justin-

I have found that regular soap and water will kill ants on contact. We mix 5-1 liquid soap solution. Remove the chameleon and spray the whole cage down, you can leave it all setup, but you will want to do this outside. After you spray the cage down with the soap solution, rinse the cage down with the hose. Let the cage dry, put the cage back inside and place the chameleon back in. This will get rid of the ants in the cage/plants. You will want to track down their source and terminate them. Hope this helps!
