Argentinian horned (pac-man) frog won't eat...been more than 1 week. should i worry? (longish post)

Im a total amateur, don't know anything beyond basics, ive got a healthy female leopard gecko, 3 juvenile cresties who all seem to be fine, no shedding problems, though ive been worried about temperature, and then theres this crazy frog.

This pac man frog came into my hands from a teacher (im in high school) it was totally malnurished, but hes looking much much better 6 months later. he had a red bulb for heat over his ten gal eco earth substrate, live plant, water dished tank. the light recently burnt out, but i fear it wasn't doing anything anyway - 50 watts, more than a foot and a half away (im poor, couldnt afford anything beyond this set up, and the teacher couldnt give me money - the frog is a classroom thing for the biology dept right now [they better not disect him!])

So the light burnt out about two weeks ago. he was on a meal of kingworms and large crickets, gutloaded, and dusted with herptevite/rep-cal (1:1). he has not eaten, or showed interest, for about 5 or 6 days. even though hes almost two years old, hes tiny for his age (just barely 2 inches across - like i said, REALLY malnurished). Could this be a seasonal thing? he shows no abnormal behaviour, just burrowed like always. but of course, im worried, if he dies on me, my head will be chopped off.

PS this is my first post here - too long? too much/not good description or info? thanks for any reply!!

I'm not a frog expert but I would check your set-up first. You indicate that there is no external heat provided due to a burned-out bulb & they are active in warmer temperatures. As far as I know, they become active in the wetter season in their native habitat, and in the dry season, they go into hibernation by digging burrows into the mud or debris. Check the temperatures-provide a gradient, humidity, & provide a moist substrate such as sphagnum moss and provide a large water bowl. If all of the husbandry is correct, and the frog is still not eating, then a vet appointment is in order.
