Go to a vet and they will give him medication Amikacin, Baytril or something similar. You can give them some over the counter stuff but I haven't had any luck with any of them so I wouldn't reccomend that..

I am not suggesting not taking your snake to the vet but you might want to raise the temps up to the low 90's and the humidity around 85%. This seems to help eleviate most of the symptoms in most pythons and usually clears it completely up after a few days. Hope this helps, Todd

Raise the temps and the humidity while you are waitng for the Vet by the time you notice the RI its most likely been ther a while.
Go with the Amikacin seems to work well for bloods.

just my 2 cents Joe........

Can you tell me where I can get Amikacin and how is it given to the snake. Is this something only a vet can do or can I get it myself and do it?

Go to the vet to get Amikacin.. it will probably need a series of shots so your vet will administer the first and mix up extra shots for you which you can administer yourself or you can keep going back to the vet to get shots.

You wiil have to go to the vet to get it they may give it to you or make keep coming back it depends on the vet.

The it is 1cc for every 30lbs every 4 days six times this info came from Dave Barker at VPI.

Hope this helps Joe............
