Crested Vs. Gargoyle

skyfire_1 Mar 04, 2004 10:58 AM

Is there any differences between Crested and Gargoyle Geckos? Or are they the same with just a little differences in appearance? I am new to the Gecko's. Thanks!!!

skyfire 1,

When it comes to crested vs. gargoyles, they are very closely related. The cresteds obviously have the crest, and the gargoyle have the bumps at the top of their head, but the husbandry of both species is nearly identical. If you really want to know the differences, buy the book (or borrow), Rhacodactylus:the complete guide to their selection and care. It is by far the best book out there on the subject of new caledonian geckos.
