You want Flexwatt. Beanfarm sells it and the clips. Don't buy the plugs if there is a hardware store handy. You'll save money and be able to buy the lengths you need. Check out John Hollister's website for a photo description for how-to's. He's a great guy in this buisiness and gives cage blueprints and all sorts of ideas free.

I did this in the fall (however an accident happened and my dimmer blew up and i got an electrical shock. Get the heat pads, or one big heat strip (which ever you need) with the cords on them. Go to lowes and get a dimmer switch for a light bulb and an outlet plates(like on your walls)and an outlet (for how many switches you have) and some wire that will fit both the outlet and the dimmer, friendly people at lowes can help, this one guy was a pro! Hook the dimmer switch to the outlet via wire. Then plug in a lamp to see if you can dim the light. If this works, put in the heat pad. Some sites say splice your wire, however if one part of the wire touches the other, you get a short circut. The whole thing costed me under 30 dollars.

My accident was that i put a plug on the heat tape wire that was too small. My dad is an ameture electrian and said it seemed allright, well when i tested the outlet, the dimmer flew sparks and i got a shock, my hair went up and i was stunned.

Good luck!!
