Is she just not happy????

My 3 and half month old (Jess) has always lightened and darkened in her cage. I got her when she was only a month old so since then she has been in a 20 gallon. She was 4.5 inches then and now she's 9.5 inches. Lately she never lightens up in her cage. She looks ashy. Her temps are fine and she is eating great. She only lightens up when we get her out. Then she wants to run and jump and she is just so bright. Is it just time for a bigger cage? Thanks for any advice.

Bigger is always good. I have a rescue that was small for his age 3mo's and I moved him to a bigger cage with climbing area and he gained in size alot faster, ate better, and was more active. He is now pretty healthy.

Her temps run between 110 and 115 on the basking side and her cool side is always within the 80s. We have uv lighting- its a florescent desert something- I can't recall but it is 7%. She is in a reptile carpet. When we are handeling our 5 month dragon we will let her explore his cage and she is so excited. She will look all over and will bask. She never looks at all like she does when she's her cage which no way near half the size. His cage is 48 x 18 with fake rocks and ledges. I think its building time again. Would there be a problem letting these guys house together for a short period of time? Just til I get her new cage up and running. She's about 9.5 inches and he is 13.5 inches. She is almost 4 months old and he's almost 6 months old.
