Plants and outdoor inclosures

Shion Mar 04, 2004 11:44 AM

Ok, so I am a little confused on the whole plant deal for outdoor inclosures. If you buy plants that are edible for your tort at places like Home depot where you are not sure when the last time they were sprayed with any harmful sprays or dosed with fertilizer, how long should you wait or what should you do to make sure they are safe to put in your inclosure?

its better to buy seeds an d plant them because then they wont have any pesticides that will harm a tort greatly the ones you might buy at home depo have been sprayed with pesticides for their whole life and you most likly wont be able to remove it all.

I've never had a problem with plants I've bought. I've planted
stuff straight into his enclosure, and other times I've saved
hibiscus outside of the cage until I watered it for a few weeks
and it produced all new flowers/leaves. I mean, let's not get
hysterical and start giving them only bottled water.
