Do pythons like light and hide outs?

I put a shelter in there and a light but it wont go in the shelter instead it goes behind like it is hiding from the light it didnt do that when i didnt have the light please help i just want him to be happpy

kind of i guess the hide out i made wasnt dark enough do they even need uvb lights?
