Trying to keep the fun in Chelonian care
Aah, no--but that would remove the challenge. Like you I thought it was this group, but without more info. (eg. a better pic), I am unable to run them through a key. However, I was thinking there could be some gurus who could just "look and tell"... (These people do not appreciate photos being taken of their stuff, so it is snap and go...)

T.g.g. directly from the surroundings of Algiers, I have seen plenty of them in Vienna Museum Collection (collected in 18,19 and 20th century)....
I would have to say that they are either Greeks or possibly young elongateds. Hard to tell if the pale tone of the skin is from the lighting or a true characteristic. That deep green in their shell coupled with the pale skin makes me think elongated or Forsteins.
