Lavender albino balls?

karm Mar 04, 2004 04:15 PM

I've heard the lavender albino described as having better contrasting colors than the more common albino ball variety. However, all of the photos of these animals that I've seen do not show this contrast and color.

For those who have seen these animals personally, what's the real deal here?

Ralph Davis has amazing side by side pictures comparing lavender albinos to normal albinos on his site. You can really see how strikingly different these animals are. If you haven't checked out his lavender albino page yet, its worth a visit!

I think you'll see many more side by side shots popping up this year when more lav's are produced by the various breeders working with them. Personally, I can't wait!

The Lavender Albinos are very different from normals. Besides the color differences, the eyes on the Lavender are a deep ruby red.
