I've got a question, do you find that you have high humidity loss from the wire mesh on the walls?? If you do, what do you do to combat the loss of humidity?
Thanks again for sharing.

That cage is on my back porch, I live in FL. it is humid here without any help. So here I don't have any problems with it.

If I lived in IL. still I would never use this type of cage as it just does not work. Loss of heat loss of humidty etc.

Thanks for asking a real question.

Most of the posts that include wire mesh are usually coupled by humidity problems, its cool you don't have any problems with it.

Are all/most of your cages outside?

My guess is those people have there cages indoors. Most homes are not very humid on the inside.

My cages are on my back porch which is just screened in, the only time it is covered is in the few cold spells we have in winter. Then it is like a greenhouse. My cages are also in the part of my home that faces south.

Ask other that keep there reptiles outside and I am sure none of them have humidity issues. I know Frank keeps some outdoors atleast part of the year.

Thats why I do not have a set caresheet. If I told everyone to use my setups it just wouldn't work in everyones case.

Jody,
What's the locality of the water? Gorgeous monitors.

Thanks, well I have 1.2 waters the two girls are sumatrans. The big male pictured is a big black and white salvator and I haven't a clue on his locality. Malaysia, or maybe an odd biv.?

All I know is he is wicked cool.

I have one male sumatran. The other male (which I have not been able to pinpoint locality on) is almost exactly like yours. With the spotting bands and no background patterning. I just wondered if you could help me pinpoint the locality. We just got two tiny baby Sumatrans today too. Thanks.

Well sumatrans an easy one to pin point. I thought java at first with this guy but he lacks the pattern around his mouth.

John A. might know the locality.
