coco bark as substrate ????

what about coco as substrate i have heard alot about cypress what are the disses and addvnt

i like it in my hide boxes mixed w 3 to 1 sand holds moisture real well...ill get flamed for that but it is a easy clean substrate not to mention cheap...also i leave in the desert so good black dirt isnt avaible. Just my $.o2

i jsut mixed it with decomp granett seems to hold up good i have a good slop going in my set up on the slop side i put some slate at diffrent places and stated the holes between them not i think in the back thay all connect my sav gose in on to and comes out the bottom pritty cool
